HENDERSONVILLE, N.C. (WBTV) - A protester was escorted out of Vice President JD Vance’s rally in North Carolina on Monday after shouting, “Release the Epstein files!”
Vance was interrupted midway through his Oct. 19 speech in Hendersonville — while discussing what he called a “corrupt far-left cartel that subjected the country to woke insanity for years” — when a protester shouting “Release the Epstein files!” and “God bless our children” was escorted out, prompting a response from the vice president.
“I’m going to have to amend something I said earlier. I said that we have had zero illegal border crossings in the United States of America — but one isn’t bad,” Vance quipped.
The vice president did not address the Epstein files comment but used the shouting behind him to contrast his positions with those of “far-left Democrats.”
“They [Democrats] stand for the idea that your government exists for fraudsters or criminals or illegal aliens, when we know the American government exists for American citizens,” Vance said. “That’s who it belongs to!”
