(CNN) - A new lawsuit threatens a bequest from convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein’s estate.
Several of Epstein’s victims are bringing a new lawsuit that could impact whether two of his key advisers get any of the millions he left them.
For years, victims have contended that Epstein’s attorney and in-house accountant enabled the late financier’s abuse of hundreds of young women and girls.
In their suit, the victims say Darren Indyke and Richard Kahn gave Epstein the legal and financial support needed for his sex trafficking operation.
Their attorneys deny the pair knew about or were involved in his crimes.
Epstein’s accountant testified to Congress earlier this year that he doubts whether he will get any money from the financier’s trust, given the unresolved assets and liabilities.
The estate is paying out millions to Epstein’s victims.
In the seven years since Epstein died, his estate has dwindled from $655 million down to $107 million.
This latest victims’ lawsuit will delay any money going to Epstein’s advisers for years.
