Jeffrey Epstein's recollection ofDonald Trumphas drawn fresh attention after a newTMZdocumentary, "Jeffrey Epstein: How He Did It," described an alleged remark that offered an unusual glimpse into how the president once viewed himself.
The story centers on a conversation Epstein reportedly had with fellow inmate William Mersey shortly before his death.
According to the outlet, the disgraced sex offender recounted an anecdote involving Trump, a private jet, a French woman and Atlantic City.

Mersey revealed that he had asked Jeffrey Epstein for a story that was "emblematic of Donald Trump's essence" while the two were incarcerated at Manhattan's Metropolitan Correctional Center.
The financier allegedly responded with an anecdote about flying from New York to Florida with the President and a French woman.
According to Mersey's account, Epstein told him Trump had proposed stopping in Atlantic City so the woman could see his casino.
Epstein reportedly made a disparaging remark about the people there, noting, "I'm not landing in Atlantic City, it's all white trash down there."
When the woman asked what "white trash" meant, Mersey said Trump replied, "It's me without money."

The Atlantic City story was only one part of the public record surrounding the men's association.
Donald Trump had also spoken warmly about Jeffrey Epstein in a magazine profile, describing him as a longtime acquaintance and "terrific guy," remarks that later sat uneasily beside Trump's efforts to distance himself from the disgraced financier.
In a 2002New Yorkmagazine profile, the politician said he had known Epstein for 15 years. "Terrific guy," he told the magazine, adding, "He's a lot of fun to be with."
Trump also remarked that Epstein liked beautiful women, adding, "Many of them are on the younger side." Those comments offered a very different public tone from Trump's later account of their relationship.
In 2019, after Epstein was arrested on federal sex-trafficking charges, Trump told reporters he had not spoken to him in about 15 years.
