AOC Backs New Epstein Files Bill, Accuses Trump Administration of Protecting Pedophiles

Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez said she would support the new bill, the Epstein Files Transparency Act II, and alleged that the Trump administration violated the law by withholding or blacking out Justice Department documents related to Jeffrey Epstein.

The New York Congresswoman was interviewed by Pablo Manriquez, a journalist from the MeidasTouch Network.

Asked whether she was going to support the new Epstein Files Transparency Act, Ocasio-Cortez answered: "Absolutely."

Then Manriquez asked why she felt the need for such a law.

"I thought we already did this. We should have done it. They are not following the law. And you've got the Trump administration has been throwing their most effort and their most political and social capital in protecting a bunch of pedophiles. Point blank, period," Ocasio-Cortez said.

"And it disgusts me that they are breaking the law and not disclosing what is in the Epstein Files from the public and to Congress in order to protect pedophiles," she added. "That's just the beginning, middle, and end of the whole story."

President Donald Trump signed the original Epstein Files Transparency Act into law on November 19, 2025. It mandated public disclosure, within 30 days, of millions of unclassified documents from the Justice Department, FBI, and U.S. attorney files about Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell.

The department has received heavy criticism for its delays and partial disclosures of millions of documents.
